Position Title: A&D Test Technician
Department: Aerospace & Defense (A&D)
Reports to: Systems Manager
Salary Range: $26-32/hour

Position Summary: Test, trouble shoot, repair, or modify electronic and electrical components and Test Systems for the Aerospace and Defense industry. This is a higher-level system technician position that requires a high degree of broad based electronic, computer and software knowledge.
Requirements:
Essential Job Duties:
• Assure product quality by conducting system level testing as directed by the Integration Statements of Work (ISOW), ATP’s (Acceptance Testing Procedure) and/or the system engineer.
• Inspect and make minor repairs to correct manufacturing errors and assure conformity to the ISOW.
• Arrange for repairs when repairs require specialized skills, specialized equipment or warranty repair, i.e. defective cables or instruments.
• Collect, document, and store test results, as hardcopy or electronically as directed by the system engineer and ATP.
• Assist system integrators with questions about construction details that may not be clearly specified in the build and update the documentation. (be a go between for integration and engineering)
• Assist in integrating systems as required by schedules or by the direction of the supervisor.
• Pre-test instruments prior to installation into a system when required or specified in the work instructions.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency and accuracy by identifying test and/or integration documentation errors and provide feedback to system engineers.
• Support system engineers as required by generating/correcting ISOW’s, cable documents, ATP’s and other documentation for the purpose of manufacturing.
• Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; make sure equipment calibration is current
• Maintains product and process data base by collecting and entering data.
• Train other technicians in equipment use or testing procedures.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- The principles of electronic theory, engineering methods, and procedures.
- RF devices, testing methods, and equipment. Use of PNA-X
- Remote instrument control methods such as USB, GPIB, RS232, SCPI commands, and LAN.
- Electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMM’s, function generators, network analyzers, power meters, and spectrum analyzers.
- Methods, materials, and equipment used in the construction and maintenance of electronic, and electrical equipment.
- Computers, peripheral equipment, and related devices.
- Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, Data Bases ACCESS, and VISIO.
- 3 phase line voltage. Testing and hookup.
Education and Experience Preferred:
- Meets Requirements: Associate degree in Electronics Technology from an accredited college and 3-6 years’ experience in electronic troubleshooting or maintenance; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET) degree and 2+ years’ experience in a higher-level electronic job function
