Position Overview
As an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining the property's appearance, functionality, and overall resident satisfaction. You will be responsible for completing service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting with apartment make-readies to ensure homes are move-in ready.
The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while maintaining a strong commitment to customer service and safety.
Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues
- Perform preventative maintenance throughout the community
- Assist with apartment turns and make-ready projects
- Repair drywall, doors, windows, locks, flooring, and general building components
- Maintain common areas, grounds, and property amenities
- Ensure vacant units are prepared for new resident move-ins
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Communicate effectively with residents, property management, and team members
- Respond to maintenance needs with a customer-focused approach
Qualifications
- Previous apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience preferred
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and general maintenance practices
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and prioritize daily tasks
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day
