Griffin Technology Group is seeking an experienced Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician to join our technical support team in Mentor, Ohio.
\n
\n
Location Requirement: This is a full-time, in-person position based in Mentor, Ohio. Applicants must currently reside within a reasonable daily commuting distance of our Mentor office and be available to work onsite on a full-time basis. This position is not remote or hybrid, and relocation assistance is not available.
\n
\n
The NOC Technician provides frontline technical support to our client partners while monitoring and maintaining client technology environments. This position requires strong troubleshooting and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and broad hands-on experience supporting small and midsize business technology.
\n
\n
Our NOC Technicians are expected to take ownership of client support requests and independently resolve most incidents from intake through resolution, escalating appropriately when an issue requires advanced engineering or project-level support.
\n
Key responsibilities:
\n

- Receive and resolve client support requests remotely and, when necessary, onsite
- Troubleshoot Windows desktop and server environments
- Support Microsoft 365, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and related applications
- Manage routine user accounts, permissions, licensing, password resets, and MFA
- Troubleshoot workstation, software, printer, peripheral, and connectivity issues
- Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, wireless, switch, and access-point related issues within the scope of the position
- Monitor client environments and respond to alerts according to established procedures
- Support patching, updates, endpoint security, antivirus, backup, and client management systems
- Assist with workstation and technology deployments
- Assist senior technical staff with client infrastructure projects, implementations, and maintenance
- Maintain accurate and complete ticket and client documentation
- Identify recurring issues and contribute to improvements in monitoring, documentation, procedures, and support processes
- Communicate clearly and professionally with client partners throughout the support process
- Maintain ownership of assigned issues through resolution or appropriate escalation
- Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development

What we are looking for:
\n
- \n
- 2–4+ years of MSP or equivalent IT support experience, including hands-on troubleshooting
- Strong working knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams
- Working knowledge of LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, and general networking concepts
- Experience troubleshooting workstations and mid-level server issues
- Familiarity with access points, switches, VLAN assignments, connectivity, and device performance
- Experience with backup, antivirus, endpoint security, and patch management
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tickets, priorities, and client needs
- Strong documentation habits and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ownership, reliability, professionalism, and accountability
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation

Experience with ConnectWise Manage and RMM tools such as ConnectWise Automate/LabTech is strongly preferred. Familiarity with SonicWall, Netgear, Cisco, VMware, and other common SMB infrastructure technologies is a plus.
