Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-11:00pmJob Type: Temp-to-Hire
Application Period: This position will remain open until filled.
Position Summary:
The Warehouse Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Duties include general janitorial work, floor cleaning, operating powered floor scrubbers, removing debris, and assisting with routine warehouse maintenance and special projects.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness by following established sanitation schedules.
- Clean and maintain interior work areas, floors, and exterior areas surrounding the facility.
- Remove trash, debris, and other materials from designated areas.
- Operate powered floor scrubbers and use manual cleaning tools as needed.
- Safely mix and use cleaning chemicals while following required PPE guidelines.
- Assist supervisors with warehouse maintenance and special projects.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain an organized work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and dependable work habits.
- Ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Ability to follow instructions and perform repetitive tasks consistently.
- Willingness to learn and cross-train in different warehouse functions.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to safely handle and mix cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
- Consistent work history demonstrating reliability and dependability.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
- English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking is required; Spanish is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach as needed.
- Frequent use of hands for gripping, handling tools, and performing cleaning tasks.
- Ability to see clearly at close and far distances, distinguish colors, and maintain depth perception.
- Ability to communicate effectively and hear workplace instructions.
Work Environment: This position works in a warehouse environment and requires regular movement throughout the facility, including interior and exterior areas. Employees must follow established safety procedures and wear the required PPE.
