Primary Responsibilities

\n

Technical Leadership

\n

\n
• Lead the software engineering team through technical direction and mentorship.

\n

• Establish engineering standards, best practices, and coding guidelines.

\n

• Perform architecture reviews and design reviews.

\n

• Guide technical decision-making across multiple customer projects.

\n

• Promote software reliability, simplicity, maintainability, and scalability.

\n

• Mentor junior and mid-level developers through coaching and code reviews.

\n

• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Software Architecture & Design

\n

\n
• Design scalable software architectures for industrial applications.

• Develop reusable software frameworks and product components.

\n

• Lead development of the BiSx software platform.

\n

• Standardize software modules for rapid deployment.

\n

• Ensure software follows modern object-oriented and modular design principles.

\n

• Drive consistency across customer implementations.

\n

Innovation

• Identify emerging technologies that create customer value.

• Lead product innovation initiatives.

\n

• Research and evaluate AI, machine learning, IIoT, MQTT, Unified Namespace, cloud technologies, and modern manufacturing software trends.

• Translate customer needs into new software capabilities.

• Help define the future direction of BiS products.

Project Leadership

• Lead technical execution of multiple customer projects.

\n

• Break large projects into manageable deliverables.

\n

• Estimate engineering effort and schedules.

\n

• Coordinate engineering resources across multiple priorities.

\n

• Work closely with project managers and customers.

\n

• Identify project risks before they become problems.

\n

• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.

Software Development

• Design, develop, and maintain industrial software applications.

\n

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

\n

• Participate in architecture discussions and peer reviews.

\n

• Troubleshoot complex software issues.

\n

• Improve software performance and reliability.

\n

• Build reusable software libraries.

Quality & Process Improvement

• Improve engineering workflows.

• Establish testing procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.

\n

• 3+ years leading engineering teams or serving as technical lead.

\n

• Strong software architecture experience.

\n

• Experience designing enterprise software platforms.

\n

• Excellent communication skills.

\n

• Strong organizational and project management abilities.

\n

• Proven leadership experience.

\n

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

\n
