Job Description PROMAN Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Tech Assistant in Wichita KS.
1st Shift | Monday - Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Pay Rate: $18.50/hour
Job Summary: Tech Assistant is a 1st shift opportunity. In this role, you will conduct testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic and electrical components to ensure equipment operates properly and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Test, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic equipment and components.
- Perform component-level analysis to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Use electronic testing equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and volt meters.
- Perform soldering and de-soldering of surface mount and through-hole components.
- Complete repair orders accurately and efficiently within established timelines.
- Handle hard drives and electronic devices while following ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and data entry for completed repairs and units.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and warehouse safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electronics, Electronics Certification, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong understanding of electronic circuitry, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience using electronic testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic devices down to the component level.
- Experience with soldering and de-soldering techniques.
- Basic computer skills and experience with data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must be able to pass a Technical Aptitude Test, when applicable.
