Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Lead 3 to support a technical project involving data engineering and an AI adoption program.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading technical projects and programs involving data, analytics, cloud environments, data architecture, data modeling, data warehousing, business intelligence, and enterprise technology initiatives.
This role will support a Technical Project Manager by coordinating cross-functional teams, tracking project deliverables, supporting platform and data engineering initiatives, and ensuring alignment between business, engineering, data, and AI stakeholders.
The successful candidate will bring strong project leadership, communication, organizational, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, along with the ability to independently manage complex project activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, coordination, requirements gathering, business analysis, specifications development, project planning, monitoring, and status reporting.
- Support the Technical Project Manager in managing data engineering and AI adoption initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities across business, engineering, data, platform, and AI teams.
- Define project scope, objectives, milestones, timelines, deliverables, and success metrics.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, charters, and status reports.
- Track project deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues, and action items.
- Coordinate data engineering, platform engineering, and analytics initiatives from planning through delivery.
- Manage communication and alignment between technical and business stakeholders.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear information for business and executive audiences.
- Lead meetings, working sessions, project reviews, and stakeholder discussions.
- Support project budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and financial status reporting.
- Monitor project performance against scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation and resolution strategies.
- Coordinate vendors, technical teams, business partners, and other project stakeholders.
- Support data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing initiatives.
- Work with data engineers, developers, analysts, architects, and business partners to resolve project issues and dependencies.
- Support AI/ML adoption, advanced analytics, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Assist with project requirements, technical specifications, implementation planning, and system delivery.
- Maintain project documentation, including project plans, charters, schedules, meeting notes, decisions, and lessons learned.
- Use project management tools to track tasks, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Ensure project activities align with applicable security, compliance, governance, and organizational requirements.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve project delivery and team collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience leading technical projects or programs in data, analytics, and cloud environments.
- 10+ years of experience leading data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing initiatives from planning through delivery.
- 10+ years of experience managing business intelligence, big data, and analytics projects in complex enterprise environments.
- 10+ years of experience supporting healthcare data initiatives.
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as FHIR, CCDA, and HL7 is a plus.
- 10+ years of working knowledge of SQL and database technologies to support project planning, estimation, and issue resolution.
- 10+ years of experience communicating complex technical concepts to business and executive audiences.
- 10+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams, vendors, and complex project timelines.
- 10+ years of experience collaborating with data engineers, developers, analysts, and business partners.
- 10+ years of experience defining project scope, objectives, milestones, timelines, and success metrics.
- 10+ years of experience with project budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and financial status reporting.
- 10+ years of experience with project management tools such as:
- Jira
- Azure DevOps
- Microsoft Project
- Smartsheet
- 10+ years of experience creating and maintaining project plans, project charters, schedules, and lessons-learned documentation.
- 10+ years of working knowledge of cloud platforms, data systems, or enterprise applications.
- Strong leadership skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and proactively manage complex project activities.
- PMP certification required. PMP certification must be clearly listed on the resume. Proof of certification may be requested.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience working in healthcare or other regulated environments.
- Knowledge of compliance, security, privacy, and data governance concepts.
- PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or similar project management certifications.
- Healthcare industry experience.

- TOGAF certification preferred.
- Cloud Solution Architecture certification preferred.
- Azure, AWS, or GCP certifications preferred.
