SUMMARY
\n
The Network Engineer implements, maintains, and supports the company’s US network environment and reports to the Network & Systems (N&S) Lead.
\n
In this hands-on role, the engineer applies the N&S Lead’s standards and architecture by configuring and troubleshooting network infrastructure day to day, supporting branch buildouts, and serving as the technical escalation point above the Help Desk and Field Technicians.
\n

RESPONSIBILITIESConfigure, maintain, and troubleshoot switches, routers, Wi-Fi access points, and firewalls across US campus and branch locations.
\n

- Configure and troubleshoot Lancom networking equipment.
- Handle network issues escalated beyond Help Desk and Field Technician scope.
- Perform daily network monitoring.
- Apply patches and firmware/OS updates to network devices.
- Implement network security controls, including firewall rules, VPN configurations, and segmentation, per defined standards.
- Support network-related Microsoft 365 and Azure administration (VPN, conditional access, Intune network policies).
- Configure, test, and validate networks for new branch buildouts alongside Field Technicians and the Branch Opening Project Manager.
- Maintain network diagrams.
- Manage IP address assignments and records.
- Maintain network asset records.
- Coordinate with the Systems Engineer on monitoring coverage for network incidents.
- Coordinate with the Systems Engineer on escalation handoffs for network incidents.

REQUIREMENTS3–5+ years of network engineering or network administration experience.
\n

- Knowledge of VLANs and routing.
- Firewall administration experience.
- VPN configuration experience.
- Wi-Fi deployment experience.
- Lancom, Cisco, Meraki, or similar enterprise networking platforms.
- Knowledge of structured cabling standards.
- Experience troubleshooting physical connectivity issues.
- Experience with network monitoring.
- Experience applying patches and firmware/OS updates to network devices.
- Microsoft 365 and Azure networking fundamentals.
- Ability to produce accurate network diagrams and documentation.
- CCNA or equivalent certification.
