Title: Cloud Load Balancer Engineer
Employment Type: Contract (12–24 months)
Compensation: $65–$75 per hour

Work Model: Onsite, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; 5% travel

A large public-sector organization supports multiple departments through shared enterprise technology services. Its application infrastructure spans on-premises systems and several cloud platforms.
Position Summary
The Cloud Load Balancer Engineer will maintain reliable application traffic delivery across enterprise and cloud environments. The role combines hands-on F5 engineering, Infoblox architecture and administration, network troubleshooting, and controlled infrastructure upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and operate application traffic delivery across on-premises infrastructure and AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and IBM Cloud.
- Administer and architect Infoblox solutions supporting the enterprise network environment.
- Configure F5 LTM and GTM services, including virtual servers, pools, pool members, nodes, health monitors, and iRules.
- Plan physical-to-virtual F5 migrations and integration with cloud-based load-balancing platforms.
- Investigate service issues with internal teams and external partners; recommend and implement corrective changes.
- Manage global and local load balancing, DNS, SSL acceleration, and HTTP compression and caching.
- Coordinate application validation with customers following infrastructure changes.
- Plan hardware and software upgrades with limited downtime, monitor platform health, and maintain security patches.
- Evaluate infrastructure technologies and implement configurations that support application and business requirements.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise F5 VIPRION load-balancing solutions.
- At least 3 years administering, configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting Cisco network equipment in enterprise environments.
- At least 2 years configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting enterprise cloud-based load balancers, servers, and network systems.
- At least 5 years deploying and managing Infoblox solutions, with strong administration and architecture expertise.
- Deep knowledge of F5 LTM/GTM, physical and virtual deployment models, cloud load balancing, DNS, SSL acceleration, and HTTP compression and caching.
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field, or additional qualifying experience substituted year for year.
