We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and hands-on Part-Time Operations Manager to oversee janitorial cleaning operations across multiple client locations. This is a Part-Time position of approximately 4 hours per day.

The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of strong, hands-on experience in commercial janitorial cleaning and understand what high-quality cleaning looks like in a professional commercial environment.

This position requires someone who:

  • “Must be available for emergency calls and last-minute staffing situations.”

This is a field-based operations position, not an office-only supervisory role.

Key ResponsibilitiesField Operations & Quality Control

  • Travel to multiple client locations within the assigned territory, and Visit and inspect assigned client locations on a regular basis to ensure cleaning services are being performed efficiently, thoroughly, safely, and according to the client's Scope of Work (SOW).
  • Conduct detailed quality-control inspections and cleaning audits.
  • Identify deficiencies and immediately communicate corrective actions to the cleaning crew.
  • Follow up to ensure deficiencies have been corrected.
  • Verify that all areas included in the client's Scope of Work are being properly serviced.
  • Monitor the overall performance, appearance, professionalism, and reliability of cleaning crews.
  • Ensure crews are using cleaning equipment, chemicals, tools, and supplies properly and safely.
  • ensure that machine blades/squeegee blades are inspected regularly and kept in proper working condition by the cleaning crew, according to company procedures and equipment requirements.
  • Report equipment, supply, maintenance, safety, or operational issues promptly.
  • Help establish and maintain consistent cleaning standards across all assigned locations.

Client Relations

  • Maintain professional and positive relationships with existing clients and crew.
  • Be available to meet with clients when requested or when operational needs require it.
  • Participate in meetings with new and prospective clients to understand their cleaning needs and expectations.
  • Walk new locations with clients and help identify cleaning requirements.
  • Review and understand each client's Scope of Work and ensure the cleaning team is following it.
  • Address client concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Communicate operational updates, issues, and corrective actions to management.

Employee Onboarding & Training

  • Assist with onboarding new employees assigned to client locations.
  • Meet new employees at the location on their first day of assignment.
  • Train employees on proper cleaning procedures, company expectations, safety practices, equipment operation, and the specific client's Scope of Work.
  • Demonstrate proper cleaning techniques and ensure employees understand the required standards.
  • Monitor new employees during their initial days/weeks and provide coaching when needed.
  • Reinforce company policies, attendance expectations, professionalism, and customer-service standards.

Staffing & Coverage

  • Monitor attendance and staffing levels for assigned locations.
  • Proactively identify and arrange qualified replacement employees when a crew member is absent or unable to work.
  • Maintain a reliable network of employees who can provide emergency coverage.
  • Respond quickly to call-offs and staffing emergencies.
  • If a replacement cannot be found, the Operations Supervisor must be available and willing to personally go to the location and perform the cleaning to ensure the client receives the contracted service.
  • Be prepared to temporarily work alongside the cleaning crew when operational circumstances require it.
  • Ensure that no assigned location is left without service because of an employee absence.

Daily Operations & Reporting

  • Maintain an accurate daily spreadsheet/log documenting:
  • Locations visited
  • Date and time of each visit
  • Client meetings
  • Inspections and audits performed
  • Cleaning deficiencies identified
  • Corrective actions taken
  • Employee training completed
  • Staffing issues and coverage
  • Follow-up activities
  • Any relevant operational observations
  • Provide regular operational updates and reports to management.
  • Document recurring problems and recommend solutions.
  • Track employee performance and communicate concerns to management.
  • Help maintain accurate records related to inspections, training, staffing, and client service.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of proven, hands-on experience in commercial janitorial cleaning.
  • Strong knowledge of professional commercial cleaning procedures, equipment, chemicals, and industry standards.
  • Previous experience as a Janitorial Supervisor, Area Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, Site Supervisor, or similar role.
  • Previous experience supervising, leading, or managing janitorial cleaning crews is strongly preferred.
  • Must be willing and able to travel between multiple client locations throughout the assigned territory.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to respond to locations when operational emergencies occur, and driver;s license
  • Must be comfortable performing janitorial cleaning duties personally when necessary.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with clients and employees.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple locations and operational issues simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to maintain spreadsheets
  • Must be dependable, responsive, professional, and able to handle time-sensitive situations.
  • Experience managing multiple commercial cleaning accounts.
  • Experience training and onboarding janitorial employees.
  • Experience conducting cleaning inspections and quality-control audits.
  • Experience working directly with commercial clients.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish.
  • Experience with floor machines, scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, and other commercial cleaning equipment is a plus.



This position is physically active and requires the ability to:

  • Travel between multiple client locations.
  • Walk and inspect commercial facilities.
  • Stand, bend, kneel, reach, and move throughout facilities.
  • Demonstrate cleaning procedures and equipment operation.
  • Lift and move cleaning supplies and equipment when necessary.
  • Perform janitorial cleaning duties when required.
  • Work flexible hours when operational emergencies or staffing issues arise.

The successful candidate will not simply identify problems—they will take ownership of finding solutions.

If a crew member calls off, you will be expected to find coverage. If coverage cannot be found, you must be willing to go to the location and perform the cleaning yourself. If a client has a concern, you will address it professionally and follow through until the issue is resolved.

The ideal candidate understands that the success of our operation depends on quality, consistency, accountability, communication, and customer satisfaction.

Compensation
$25-30 per hour
