Position Summary
The Assistant Site Manager supports the Site Manager in overseeing daily operations at a Bitcoin mining facility. This role ensures that the site operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Maysville, Georgia.
The Assistant Site Manager provides hands-on leadership to operations staff, coordinates maintenance and repair activities, manages contractors and vendors, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations, including miner uptime, cooling systems, power distribution, and networking
- Supervise site staff, contractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, site policies, and operational procedures
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and executing preventative and corrective maintenance activities
- Monitor site KPIs (hashrate, uptime, PUE, power curtailment, etc.) and provide timely reporting to management
- Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables; coordinate procurement as needed
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements, conducting routine safety checks and supporting training initiatives
- Act as acting Site Manager in the absence of the Site Manager
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and corporate operations teams on site upgrades, testing, and new deployments
- Support emergency response, troubleshooting, and escalation protocols for site incidents
Minimum Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in operations, data centers, industrial facilities, or mission-critical infrastructure
- Experience with electrical systems, cooling systems, or IT/network operations strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate with contractors and vendors for site-level projects and repairs
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience in operations, technical, or industrial settings
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills; ability to motivate and manage frontline teams
- Experience in enforcing HSE standards, conducting toolbox talks, or leading safety programs
- Proven ability to balance hands-on technical work with administrative responsibilities such as scheduling, reporting, and compliance
- Ability to make sound operational decisions under pressure, including during equipment failures or curtailments
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Technology, Business Management, or related field (preferred); associate degree in technical discipline with equivalent field experience (acceptable)
- Relevant certifications in electrical, mechanical, or data center operations
- Familiarity with cryptocurrency mining, data center infrastructure, or power/energy management
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and up to 65 lbs occasionally
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move equipment for extended periods
- Ability to work around high-voltage equipment while adhering to strict safety protocols
- Ability to work in all environmental conditions typical of industrial mining sites, including elevated noise levels, temperature extremes, and varying weather conditions
