BG Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Maintenance Technician for a well-established apartment community in Arlington Heights, Illinois. If you have previous apartment maintenance experience, enjoy solving problems, take pride in your work, and are looking for a stable opportunity with a respected staffing partner, we want to hear from you!
This position is ideal for a reliable maintenance professional who is comfortable handling day-to-day service requests, assisting with apartment turns, and helping maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the community.
Schedule
- First Day Start Time: 9:00 AM
- Regular Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay
- $22.50 per hour
Responsibilities
- Complete residential service requests and work orders in a timely manner
- Perform general apartment maintenance and repairs
- Conduct basic plumbing repairs and troubleshooting
- Diagnose and address electrical maintenance issues
- Troubleshoot and repair household appliances
- Perform carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and general upkeep
- Assist with apartment turns and make-ready preparation
- Help maintain the overall appearance and safety of the property
- Work professionally with residents, property management, and team members
Qualifications
- Previous apartment maintenance experience required
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance functions and repair techniques
- Experience with plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, and carpentry work
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliable transportation required
- Must provide and maintain your own tools
- Ability to lift, carry, and move maintenance equipment and materials as needed
