Position: Databricks Architect / Architecture & Engineering Specialist

Location: Evanston, IL

Duration: Contract to hire

End Client: This role is with a brand Pharma company

W2/1099 ONLY

Job Summary:

\n

Required experience

\n

\n
• 6–7+ years of strong hands-on Databricks experience

\n

• Approximately 3+ years working in a Data Architect / technical architecture capacity

\n

• Must remain hands-on technically — this is not a high-level architecture/management role

\n

• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud data platforms

\n

• Pharma/life sciences experience strongly preferred

\n

• Consulting/client-facing experience preferred

\n

\n

Technical requirements

\n

\n
• Deep hands-on Databricks

\n

• PySpark / Spark

\n

• AWS cloud data environment

\n

• Data ingestion, transformation, orchestration and automation

\n

• End-to-end data architecture and pipeline design

\n

• Production-grade data platform experience

\n

• DBT exposure/experience

\n

• Snowflake experience is a plus

\n

• Ability to establish architecture/design standards and conduct technical/design reviews

\n

• Ability to guide data engineers while still contributing hands-on

\n
