New Tech Global is currently seeking a Plant Janitor for an opportunity in Houston, Texas. This is a long-term, temp-to-hire position responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will perform routine industrial cleaning, assist with basic facility maintenance, and support overall housekeeping efforts to ensure efficient plant operations.
Schedule
- Monday-Friday
- 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Day Shift
- Long-term opportunity with potential for permanent hire
- No overtime anticipated
Overview
- Clean and maintain production areas, offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize, and remove trash throughout the facility.
- Organize and maintain storage rooms and supply areas.
- Operate floor scrubbers, pressure washers, vacuums, and other cleaning equipment.
- Clean machinery, shelving, workstations, and facility fixtures as needed.
- Restock cleaning and restroom supplies.
- Report maintenance concerns and low inventory levels to management.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with basic facility maintenance and general housekeeping duties.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous industrial or commercial janitorial experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized facility.
- Ability to frequently bend, stand, walk, reach, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Forklift experience preferred but not required.
- Experience operating pressure washers and commercial carpet cleaning equipment preferred.
- Basic maintenance experience using common hand tools.
