Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate:
$23 per hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to support daily property maintenance at an apartment complex in Newburgh, NY. This role involves preparing units for new tenants, completing general repairs, and assisting the lead maintenance professional with ongoing property upkeep.
Candidates should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, including entering occupied apartments to complete maintenance tasks.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs
- Perform general maintenance tasks throughout the property as assigned
- Assist the head of maintenance with daily work orders and projects
- Conduct cleaning and upkeep of common areas and building spaces
- Enter occupied apartments to complete maintenance or service requests
- Pick up supplies and materials as needed using a company vehicle (e.g., Home Depot runs)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous maintenance, handyman, or property management experience preferred
- Basic skills in painting, cleaning, and general repairs
- Comfortable working in apartment units, including occupied residences
- Valid driver’s license required (company vehicle provided for errands)
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
- Must be local to or within commuting distance of Newburgh, NY
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Indoor apartment and building maintenance setting
- No roof work required and no use of ladders over 6 feet
- Ability to perform light to moderate physical labor throughout the workday
