Success Profile:

\n

The Technical Designer is responsible for ensuring that design vision is translated into a well-constructed and manufacturable garment that reflects Joules Sportswear brand’s esthetics and design integrity. As a member of the Technical Design team, you will conduct fit sessions, communicate fit session to vendors, G-III global offices and work cross-functionally to ensure accuracy of garment measurements, fit, construction details and flow of information while addressing any technical challenges during the development and production process.

Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Measure garments and organize for fittings
  • \n

  • Coordinate fit schedule and conduct fittings
  • \n

  • Create initial spec to final full graded spec
  • \n

  • Consult with designer to work on complicated garment construction and establish the fit for each brand
  • \n

  • Input in Tech packs with corrections / comments during fitting
  • \n

  • Create and manage Work In Progress reports
  • \n

  • Coordinate the production / delivery schedule weekly and coordinate fitting and fit samples accordingly
  • \n

  • Email / follow-up as needed with over-seas vendors
  • \n

  • Organize and maintain seasonal trim card library
  • \n

Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • 4+ years of apparel Technical Design experience
  • \n

  • Prior technical design experience with menswear or related apparel category
  • \n

  • BA/BS Degree required or AA Fashion Degree
  • \n

  • Excellent communication skills
  • \n

  • Functional basic knowledge in technical fit & construction
  • \n

  • Sketch technical in Illustrator
  • \n

  • Ability to work in team environment
  • \n

  • Super Detailed and Organized
  • \n

  • Computer literate – Excel, Illustrator, Photoshop. PDM and PLM knowledge is a plus
  • \n

The pay range for this position is: $95,000 - 115,000 per year

\n
