Network Engineer Key Responsibilities & Duties

- Design and operate resilient routing, switching, WAN, and internet edge services for global infrastructure.
- Optimize network performance using telemetry, packet captures, and synthetic testing methodologies.
- Engineer high-performance network infrastructure supporting market connectivity and critical production applications.
- Develop automation tools for provisioning, configuration, validation, compliance, and monitoring using Python and APIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network platforms with compute, storage, and application systems.
- Define and enforce network security standards, including segmentation and encrypted transport.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging networking technologies to improve latency, resiliency, and scalability.
- Provide production support for the network platform, ensuring reliability and operational excellence.

Network Engineer Job Requirements
\n

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure engineering roles.
- Proficiency in designing and operating modern IP networks, including BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, and multicast.
- Experience with hybrid cloud networking across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Strong skills in automation using Python, APIs, and infrastructure management tools like Ansible or Terraform.
- Knowledge of network security architectures, including segmentation and encrypted transport.
- Preferred experience in low-latency or performance-sensitive network infrastructure.
- Demonstrated curiosity and continuous learning mindset to adopt emerging technologies.
