Senior / Lead Project Manager - GC - Interiors
Job Description
Senior / Lead Project Manager – Interiors
\n
\n
New York, NY | On-site | Full-time | General Contractor / Construction Manager
\n
\n
$180,000 – $210,000
\n
\n
A New York GC / CM is hiring a Senior / Lead Project Manager for interiors projects. Commercial office, hospitality, and retail. You run the job from pre-construction through closeout.
\n
\n
THE WORK
\n
\n
High-end interiors in live New York buildings. Tight sites, occupied floors, shutdown windows, and finish packages on the critical path. Millwork and self-perform trades are part of how the work gets delivered. You coordinate design, trades, and fabrication.
\n
\n
WHAT YOU WILL DO
\n
\n
- Lead the interior project from early contractor involvement through closeout — budget, schedule, procurement, risk, and the client
\n
\n
- Run trade and finish coordination so clashes and lead times die before they hit the floor
\n
\n
- Buy and manage millwork, drywall, and long-lead finish packages
\n
\n
- Hold cost and programme when the calendar does not move and the building is occupied
\n
\n
- Lead the job team. This is a senior / lead seat, not a second chair
\n
\n
WHO THIS IS FOR
\n
\n
- Senior or Lead PM who has already delivered high-end commercial office, hospitality, or retail interiors in New York
\n
\n
- You can run an occupied-building fit-out and an 8-week shutdown. Same discipline
\n
\n
- Strong on contracts, buyout, and client-facing delivery. You are the person the owner calls
\n
\n
- Procore, Bluebeam, and coordinated finish packages are how you already work
\n
\n
WHO THIS IS NOT
\n
\n
- Ground-up / core & shell PM with no interior finish work
\n
\n
- Assistant PM looking for the title
\n
\n
- Production or light renovation only
\n
\n
- Big-box process manager who needs a 40-person office to move a decision
\n
\n
PAY
\n
\n
Base $180,000–$210,000. That range is for a senior / lead interiors PM who has already run this work in New York.
