Job DescriptionAbout the Role:North Tarrytown Housing Authority is looking for a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to join our team in Sleepy Hollow, NY. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll play a vital part in maintaining safe, clean, and well-functioning residential communities for our residents. Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance and operations of housing authority properties and facilities
• Perform and coordinate repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance
• Conduct routine property inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and code compliance
• Respond promptly to tenant maintenance requests and emergency work orders
• Supervise and direct maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors on-site
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and inventory of supplies and equipment
• Ensure compliance with HUD regulations, local housing codes, and safety standards

Requirements:

• Prior experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a superintendent role
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general construction/repair techniques
• Experience working within a public housing authority or similar residential property setting preferred
• Familiarity with HUD guidelines and local building codes is a plus
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage staff and contractors
• Ability to respond to on-call emergencies as needed
• Bi-Linquel in Spanish. Must be fluent in English and Spanish
• Valid driver's license required
