When production starts humming, you’re the expert who keeps it that way. As a Multicraft Industrial Maintenance Technician, you’ll blend mechanical know-how with electrical troubleshooting to reduce downtime, boost reliability, and support the entire plant.
What Your Day Looks Like
- Begin with preventive checks and scheduled maintenance to stop issues before they start.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical systems: bearings, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Track down electrical faults in motors, sensors, control panels, VFDs, and low- to medium-voltage circuits.
- Read and apply electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and OEM manuals to plan repairs efficiently.
- Apply lockout/tagout procedures, uphold safety protocols, and keep your work area orderly.
- Install, align, and commission new or rebuilt equipment, components, and control devices.
- Record work performed, parts used, and findings in work orders or CMMS tools.
- Share equipment status and improvement ideas with supervisors, operators, and peers.
Beyond the Basics
- Perform inspections, lubrication, filter changes, and system checks.
- Dismantle and reassemble machinery using hand and power tools.
- Support general facility maintenance and repairs.
- Engage in training and cross-training to broaden your skill set.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned.
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or as a mechanic.
- Solid mechanical aptitude with foundational electrical troubleshooting capability.
- Ability to interpret manuals, schematics, and technical documents.
- Proficiency with a wide range of hand and power tools.
- High school diploma or GED.

- Competence in basic math, reading, and reasoning.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Follows instructions precisely; adapts priorities to production needs.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This role does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Manufacturing/production setting with:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and crouching.
- Extended periods on your feet.
- Manual dexterity and strong hand–eye coordination.
- Lifting up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Routine use of hand and power tools.
- Typical manufacturing noise levels.
- Intermittent heat or cold exposure.
- Work near moving mechanical parts and machinery.
