Bottom Line up Front: Individual must have experience in supporting the writing of Test and Evaluation Master Plans in support of DoD (DoW) 5000 level acquisition.
Minimum Requirements: 8 years of experience with a bachelors degree.
This engineering/analyst position provides DOD (DOW) 5000 Series Acquisition support to the Test and Evaluation (T&E) Function reporting to the Product Office. The candidate must have proven analytical, problem-solving, technical writing, and briefing skills. They also must be able to work independently and provide technical recommendations to Government leadership. Primary responsibilities include:
- Advising, preparing, and presenting test strategies in the early acquisition life-cycle to support Phase Adaptive Approach decisions or other similar determinations.
- Developing and coordinating a tailored Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) as well as providing T&E input to all other acquisition planning or milestone decision preparation documents.
- Developing RDT&E approaches for system level test planning, execution and reporting of test efforts to achieve test objectives, as defined by the TEMP and applicable test directives.
- Coordinating across other PM offices to schedule and resource systems, as necessary (sensor, command and control, etc.).
- Attend WIPTs, system joint data reviews, and other scheduling/resourcing working groups and supporting some field testing
- Organize, plan, direct, and track all aspects of testing in support of assigned projects at a highly technical and complex level.
- Prepare test support documentation and submit and track approval within the testing agencies and test centers to include, but not limited to, ATEC, WSMR, Aberdeen Test Center, Yuma Test Center, and other DoD test activities.
- Process and analyze test data to accurately reported on test metrics and desired outcomes.
- Interface with task and functional leaders to ensure that test events align with the appropriate program cost and schedule constraints.
- Prepare and present technical and test program schedule briefings to senior program office leadership.
