Location: Chandler, AZ; Plano, TX; Charlotte, NC; and Jersey City, NJ from Day 1 (Client prefer local folks)

Hybrid Schedule: 3 Onsite Days (Tue, Wed, Thur) & 2 Remote Days (Mon, Fri)

Duration: 6+ months, extendable

Job Description:

- Mainframe IMS System Programmer
- Responsible for supporting and managing IMS DB and IMS TM subsystems on IBM z/OS, ensuring stability, availability, performance, security, and integration in a mission-critical environment.
\n
\n
\n
Mandatory Requirements Include:
\n
- \n
- 7 plus years of IBM z/OS experience
- Hands-on IMS DB and IMS TM administration
- DBD, PSB, and ACB management
- IMS control regions and transaction processing
- Buffer pool tuning and performance optimization
- IMS utilities, backup/recovery, and DR strategies
- Troubleshooting logs, dumps, abends, and database errors
- IMS integration with DB2, CICS, MQ, TCP/IP, and distributed systems
- RACF security controls
- SMP/E, JCL, TSO/ISPF, and SDSF
- Sysplex and high-availability architecture experience
- Willingness to work onsite three days per week

Preferred Experience:

- IMS modernization and API enablement
- z/OS Connect and REST integration
- OMEGAMON, MainView, or RMF

- DB Control experience

Pay Range: $65/hr - $70/hr
\n
\n
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
