Key Responsibilities
- Operations oversight: Manage commercial snow and ice operations to ensure all properties are serviced according to contract specifications.
- Resource coordination: Coordinate crews, equipment, and material needs prior to and during active winter storm events.
- Equipment transport: Drive a truck and trailer to safely transport heavy machinery to and from job sites as needed.
- Quality control: Conduct rigorous onsite inspections before, during, and after events to guarantee safety and precision.
- Field assistance: Assist with active plowing or sidewalk clearing during heavy storms or staffing shortages.
- De-icing safety: Apply or direct the precise application of bulk salt and liquid de-icing products.
- Team communication: Communicate proactively with the operations team, crew leaders, and commercial clients.
- Digital tracking: Maintain accurate service documentation and time records using our electronic tracking systems.
- Fleet preparation: Ensure all winter equipment is clean, fueled, loaded, and properly maintained before and after events.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Previous snow removal experience is required, with commercial account experience strongly preferred.
- Credentials: Valid Michigan Driver’s License is mandatory (Chauffeur’s License is preferred).
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, manage, and support snow crews in high-pressure, time-sensitive weather conditions.
- Flexibility: Highly reliable and able to respond quickly to service calls during major snow events (including overnight and early morning hours).
- Physical Demands: Ability to work outdoors in severe winter weather, complete intense physical labor, and provide proper winter gear (coat, boots, gloves, hat).
- Transit: Reliable transportation to our shop to respond immediately to incoming winter storms.

- Commercial Expertise: 2+ years of direct experience specifically managing commercial snow routes.
- Industry Safety: Deep knowledge of snow and ice safety protocols, liquid applications, and industry best practices.
