About the Role

This position plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of clients, guests, and facilities. Security professionals are expected to demonstrate exceptional situational awareness, professionalism, emotional intelligence, and a strong commitment to de-escalation practices. The role focuses on creating secure environments where people feel safe, respected, and valued.

Working under the direction of site leadership, security personnel are responsible for implementing security protocols, monitoring activities, preventing incidents, and responding appropriately when situations arise.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine patrols and security inspections with a focus on intrusion prevention and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor entrances and exits, screen for prohibited items, and maintain overall site security.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies using sound judgment and established procedures.
  • Adhere to all applicable Pennsylvania armed security regulations and operational standards.
  • Utilize de-escalation strategies to resolve conflicts peacefully and professionally.
  • Maintain a visible security presence in high-traffic and upscale nightlife environments.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other relevant agencies when necessary.
  • Prepare accurate reports and document incidents thoroughly.
  • Operate and monitor security equipment, including surveillance systems, alarms, and related technologies.


Qualifications

Required

  • Valid Pennsylvania Act 235 Certification.
  • Minimum of 3–4 years of security experience, preferably in armed security roles.
  • Experience working in upscale nightlife, entertainment, or hospitality environments.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Clean criminal background.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Skills & Abilities

  • Comprehensive knowledge of public safety procedures and security protocols.
  • Ability to remain standing and active for up to 8 hours.
  • Experience operating surveillance systems, access control systems, and alarm technologies.
  • Strong conflict-resolution and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and emergency assignments.
