Crystal Lake Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team.

The Maintenance Technician will help maintain a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, dependable, and experienced with general building maintenance and repairs.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance throughout the facility

• Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs

• Perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and mechanical repairs

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders

• Maintain resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other facility areas

• Assist with heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems

• Maintain and repair doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, and other equipment

• Perform routine safety and facility inspections

• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and staff

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

• Follow all facility safety policies and applicable regulations

• Work with outside contractors and service providers when needed

• Assist with emergency maintenance situations as required

Qualifications

• Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related field preferred

• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to perform physical maintenance duties and safely use hand and power tools

• Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Healthcare or skilled nursing facility experience is a plus

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Schedule

• Full-Time

• Schedule to be discussed during interview

• Weekend, holiday, or on-call availability may be required
