Job Summary
Openwork, formerly Meador Staffing, is hiring a dependable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the daily operations and general upkeep of a commercial building. If you have hands-on maintenance experience, strong technical skills, and take pride in keeping a facility operating safely and efficiently, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and upkeep.
- Replace light fixtures and perform basic electrical maintenance.
- Assist with plumbing repairs and routine maintenance.
- Support BAS/HVAC systems, including chillers and cooling towers.
- Assist with elevator coordination and monitoring.
- Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
- Respond to maintenance requests and address issues as needed.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and properly functioning facility.
Qualifications
- Previous facilities, property maintenance, or commercial building maintenance experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of building operations and maintenance systems.
- Ability to perform preventative and routine maintenance tasks.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Temp-to-Hire Details
This is a temp-to-hire opportunity based on work performance and attendance. Candidates must complete a minimum of 520 hours through Openwork to be eligible for permanent hire with the client.
