Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The IT Support Specialist provides first-level technical support to Steel River Companies' end users, ideally working in-office out of the Dallas Branch in a hybrid arrangement. This role manages user accounts and access, provisions and maintains Windows 11 and macOS devices through Microsoft Intune, supports the Microsoft 365 suite, and resolves day-to-day help desk requests logged through FreshService, while assisting with administration of the Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and Purview admin centers. Supporting IT across CraneTech, NACB, and Hunter Lift gives this role broader technical exposure than a single-brand IT department. Success in this role looks like dependable, responsive support; accurate documentation and ticket updates; and a genuine interest in learning new tools as Steel River's technology environment evolves.
WHAT STEEL RIVER OFFERS
- Medical coverage through Cigna, with a choice of three plan levels including an HSA-eligible option, plus dental coverage through Guardian (with an option that includes orthodontia) and vision coverage through Guardian VSP.
- Company-paid Basic Life and AD&D insurance, with voluntary options for supplemental life, short- and long-term disability, critical illness, accident, and hospital indemnity coverage.
- A 401(k) plan through Fidelity Investments with a company match — 100% of the first 3% and 50% of the next 2% of what you contribute — and eligibility to enroll on the first of the month after you're hired.
- Free, confidential counseling, legal, financial, and work-life support through the company's Employee Assistance Program, telemedicine covered in full, and a company wellness program.
- Paid time off that grows with your tenure, plus paid company holidays (including Veterans Day for veteran and active-duty employees).

- Deploy, configure, and manage Windows 11 and macOS devices using Microsoft Intune, ensuring devices remain compliant and properly configured.
- Support Microsoft 365 Core and Collaboration applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive for Business.
- Assist with day-to-day administration tasks within the Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, and Purview admin centers.
- Provide printer setup, configuration, and troubleshooting support.
- Manage mobile devices through MaaS360 MDM and Apple Business Manager.
