As a Security Officer Motor Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to all visitors, associates, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site leadership and/or emergency personnel when needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, receiving zones, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, assist with loss prevention awareness, and support orderly operations during high-traffic periods, special events, openings, closings, and/or deliveries.
- Observe customer and employee activity for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns, and communicate security-related issues in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
