Job Description
Job DescriptionBadger State Staffing is seeking a safety-conscious Maintenance Technician for a full-time position based in Kaukauna on second shift. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a proven track record in servicing, operating, and maintaining a wide range of specialized industrial equipment, including welding and fabrication machinery. Primary Duties:
- Service, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a diverse range of pipe fabrication and cutting equipment to minimize downtime
- Maintain, service, and ensure the safe operation of all small tools, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, gas-powered, and hand tools
- Maintain and service welding machinery and fabrication equipment to ensure optimal performance and structural integrity of products
- Oversee the preventative maintenance and operational readiness of blast equipment, metal surface preparation systems, and paint booth machinery
- Safely operate and maintain overhead cranes, hoists, and material handling systems to facilitate the efficient movement of heavy materials and structures
Schedule: This is a Monday - Thursday schedule that offers flexible start/end times on a second shift basis, provided the agreed-upon schedule is maintained consistently. Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of two years of industrial maintenance experience, ideally within a manufacturing, heavy fabrication, or pipe production environment
- Proven experience troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing mechanical systems, pneumatic/hydraulic tools, and industrial machinery
- Demonstrated capability working with fabrication equipment (welding units, cutting systems) and surface preparation tools (blasting/coating equipment)
- Valid documentation or verifiable training in Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) operation (forklifts, combi-lifts, etc.) is highly beneficial
- Experience safely rigging, operating, and maintaining overhead cranes and hoists
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly, stand/walk for extended periods, and work comfortably in an industrial shop environment
- A strong commitment to workplace safety, including a history of adhering to PPE, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and the confidence to exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions arise
