Looking for a security service technician
Experience in troubleshooting and programming networked access control and IP video systems, including working on the customer’s network..
Knowledge and practical experience with the internet and networking is essential.
Must be able to work independently and resolve problems to our customer’s satisfaction.
Must possess a valid driving license and clean MVR.
Current certification or proficiency in one of the following is a plus:
Access Control: Pro-Watch, Genetec, Software House, Lenel/S2, OpenPath.
Video: Axis, Exacq, Milestone, Genetec, Victor, Avigilon, Hanwha.
Intrusion: DMP, Honeywell, DSC.
Security 101 will invest in training for the right candidate.
They will get a company vehicle once going full time.

Job Overview
TEKsystems is seeking motivated Security Service Technicians to support a growing commercial security systems provider in San Antonio, TX. This role is ideal for technicians with experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting access control, CCTV/video surveillance, and intrusion alarm systems in commercial environments.

Responsibilities
- Install, service, troubleshoot, and test commercial security systems.
- Support and maintain access control, CCTV/video surveillance, and intrusion alarm systems.
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting both onsite and remotely.
- Assist with programming and configuration of network-connected security devices.
- Pull and terminate low-voltage cabling as needed.
- Follow installation standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.
- Work closely with lead technicians and project teams to complete installations.
- Provide professional customer service and communicate effectively with clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of service activities.
- Travel locally to customer job sites throughout the San Antonio area.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience installing or servicing commercial security systems.
- Experience with:
- Access Control Systems
- CCTV/IP Video Surveillance
- Intrusion Alarm Systems
- Low Voltage Cabling
- Basic networking knowledge, including IP addressing and network-connected devices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
- Comfortable working at heights and on ladders.
- Ability to follow direction and work effectively with a lead technician.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Strong attendance, reliability, and communication skills.
- OSHA 10 Certification Required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
