AI Factory Platform Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to build, scale, and operate the software and infrastructure backbone of AI-powered manufacturing tooling within a cutting-edge hardware organization. This role will focus on maintaining production-grade dashboards, data pipelines, and image-inspection systems that support factory operations and AI-driven quality validation across multiple manufacturing sites.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in full-stack development, cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and production system reliability. Experience supporting manufacturing environments, computer vision workflows, or hardware production systems is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain AI Factory dashboards and data pipelines for factory yield, triage, and operational analytics.
- Develop and support image-inspection pipelines, including factory image ingestion and automated processing workflows.
- Manage production infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, scalability, and system reliability.
- Support cloud storage and containerized services running on enterprise-scale infrastructure platforms.
- Onboard new manufacturing sites and scale platform capacity to support expanding business needs.
- Partner closely with factory engineers to integrate camera systems, AOI (Automated Optical Inspection), and station-level manufacturing data.
- Ensure high availability, uptime, and operational excellence through monitoring and on-call support.
- Drive continuous improvements in platform performance, reliability, and automation.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in software engineering with full-stack and infrastructure ownership.
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with cloud storage technologies (e.g., S3) and containerized deployments.
- Proven track record supporting production applications and infrastructure at scale.
- Experience with monitoring, deployments, reliability engineering, and operational support.
- Strong programming skills in Python or similar backend technologies.
- Ability to collaborate across software, hardware, and manufacturing engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with image-processing or computer vision pipelines.
- Manufacturing, factory automation, or production engineering experience.
- Familiarity with machine learning workflows and AI tooling.
- Web dashboard and frontend development experience.
- Experience supporting hardware validation or quality systems.
- Previous experience with Meta, Apple, or large-scale consumer hardware manufacturing environments.
