Come Join Our Team! The Daughters of Charity, provides a safe, welcoming home for the retired Sisters of the Daughters of Charity Ministries. Our team plays a vital role in creating an environment where Sisters feel respected, through independent living, assisted living and memory care.We are currently seeking a Full-Time Janitor to support the daily upkeep and safety of our campus in Menands, NY. This role reports to the Facilities Director. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in facilities or custodial work is preferred. Candidates must also possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. What You'll DoPerform routine cleaning and other manual tasksMay include sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming and washing surfacesMaintain the general cleanliness and upkeep of assigned areasPerform commercial laundry dutiesTrash removalSchedule: Monday - Friday, some weekends and holidays requiredPhysical Demands: Must be physically able to efficiently perform the duties of the position, which may involve the following: standing and walking over 2/3 of the day, lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing, bending, reaching, and stooping for 1/3 to 2/3 of the day.Come join us - exciting changes are in the works!
