Insight Global is seeking Fiber Technicians Level I and II to support fiber optic infrastructure projects across client environments. This individual will be responsible for the installation, splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fiber optic networks. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with fiber optic cabling and/or ribbon splicing, fusion splicing, fiber testing, and network infrastructure deployments in fast-paced field environments.
Required Skills & Experience
2+ years of fiber optic/data center experience
Experience installing, terminating, testing, troubleshooting, and/or splicing fiber optic cabling.
Experience terminating various fiber connectors including LC, SC, ST, FC, SMA, FDDI, and MPO/MTP.
Experience testing and troubleshooting fiber using: OTDR, Fluke DTX 180, Power Meter/Light Source (PMLS)
Ability to identify and resolve network and end-to-end fiber issues.
Basic copper cabling and termination experience, including CAT3/CAT5 terminations, patch panels, and 66/110 blocks.
