Job Title: Facilities Technician
Job Description
We are hiring a Facilities Technician to support building maintenance and repairs. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, basic repairs, and ensuring facilities run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks
- Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC systems
- Repair and replace equipment, fixtures, and building components
- Use basic tools and technology (iPad, computer, etc.)
- Respond to and resolve maintenance issues
- Support general building and grounds maintenance
- Follow safety procedures and maintain clean work areas
Requirements:
- At least 6+ months of maintenance experience (commercial, hotels, or similar)
- Basic skills in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable using basic technology
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in building or hotel maintenance
- Knowledge of HVAC systems (rooftop units, VAV boxes)
- Experience with preventative maintenance
Work Environment:
- Indoor and outdoor building maintenance
- Customer-facing role in residential or hospitality settings
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Washington, DC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
