BG Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician for a community in Northfield, KY 40222. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional with apartment industry experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service to residents while ensuring apartments are move-in ready.
Position Overview
The Apartment Maintenance Technician will be responsible for completing service requests, performing unit turns, and assisting with the overall maintenance and upkeep of the apartment community. The ideal candidate will have previous multifamily maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Perform apartment turns and prepare vacant units for new residents
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and general maintenance issues
- Complete drywall repairs, painting, carpentry, and other interior/exterior maintenance tasks
- Ensure units meet company and property standards before move-in
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with property management and residents
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Requirements
- Previous apartment maintenance or multifamily industry experience required
- Experience performing service requests and apartment turns
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, painting, and general maintenance repairs
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities throughout the day
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull maintenance equipment and materials as needed
Dress Code & Tools
- Plain work shirt and work pants (no holes or excessive wear)
- Work boots required
- Must bring standard maintenance hand tools necessary to perform daily maintenance duties
