Compensation: $85,000 - $110,000

Tiello is partnered with a highly regarded local Architecture and General Construction Team based in the greater Long Beach, CA area, in their search for a Senior Job Captain (Architecture Team - Commercial Construction) to lead and manage the Architecural Design and Coordination of Ground-Up and TI projects in the Commercial, Retail, Restaurant, Grocery Store, Office, Gas Station, & Hospitality Industries ranging in value up to $30 M.
Role Summary:
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a Job Captain or Similar within the Architectural Services Industry in the Commercial Construction Industry for an Architecture or Design Build Firm and will be responsible for leading the Architectural Developments, Design efforts, Coordination, and Quality Control of successful Ground-Up and TI Projects.

Job Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes/manages, leads, and controls the Design and Planning of these projects, coordinating with various trades, city, consultants, and clientele
- Lead he delivery of the SD, DD, CD, permit, and other deliverables for each project
- Responsible for creating, monitoring, and updating project budget and schedule including management of client agreements, agreement changes, and project billing
- Review plans, details, drawings, schedules, etc prior to issuing, and ensure accuracy
- Coordination for details, specifications, insallation procedures, and certain technical information
- Understands and coordinates code, environmental, and safety requirements into the plans and deliverables
- Respond to and adjust as needed for review comments, jurisdictional corrections, and redlines.
- Prepares and/or directs all phases of the project including document creation regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, constructability, and construction administration.
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the project team
- Closely collaborate with the Construction team to ensure smooth project delivery
- Represent the company professionally in communications with Clients, Agencies, Contractors, Consultants, etc.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- 5+ years of experience as a Job Captain or within architectural services for an Architecture or Design Build Firm
- Commercial, Retail, Grocery Store, Office, Gas Station, Restaurant Project Experience
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices
- Proficient in using architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam
- Excellent design and visualization skills
- Familiarity with interior design concepts and principles
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members
- Architecure License preferred, but not required
