A day in the life

At 8:00 a.m., you scan the maintenance queue and prioritize work orders to keep production running at peak efficiency. By mid-morning, you're coordinating a reactive repair on a critical mixer while validating that preventive maintenance tasks for the week are on track. After lunch, you review HVAC performance data, check electrical loads across 120/208/240/480V systems, and meet a contractor about a capital improvement on the facility's ventilation. Before wrap-up, you audit tool crib stock, confirm parts availability, and complete hands-on troubleshooting on a conveyor drive that needs attention—closing your day with a safety walk-through across the plant and grounds.

What you'll take ownership of

  • Leading and coordinating maintenance for production equipment, building systems, and facility grounds
  • Scheduling and prioritizing daily work orders aligned to production needs
  • Driving timely resolution of breakdowns and reactive repairs
  • Building and managing a robust preventive maintenance (PM) program
  • Maintaining HVAC, heating/cooling/ventilation, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • Overseeing outside contractors and major facility improvement/capital projects
  • Managing maintenance inventory, spare parts, supplies, and tool crib organization
  • Performing hands-on troubleshooting and repairs on manufacturing and facility assets
  • Ensuring strict compliance with safety regulations, maintenance procedures, and plant standards
  • Supporting general facility upkeep (painting, building repairs, security hardware, grounds)

What you bring

  • Associate’s degree or 5–10 years in Maintenance Management/Leadership
  • Demonstrated experience supervising maintenance personnel and coordinating daily operations
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting in a manufacturing setting
  • Success designing and administering PM programs
  • Working knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems
  • Experience with ink manufacturing or ink processing equipment (preferred)
  • Welding and fabrication capability
  • Skilled at prioritizing multiple projects and handling competing demands
  • Experience managing contractors and capital improvement initiatives
  • Deep understanding of maintenance safety practices, hazards, and compliance
  • Basic computer literacy (email, internet, maintenance documentation)
  • Excellent planning, organization, and problem-solving
  • Willingness to work emergency overtime to support plant operations
  • Ability to lift up to 90 lbs and work indoors and outdoors
