Required Skills/Capabilities
\n
• Demonstrated experience architecting, implementing, and optimizing Oracle Database solutions for complex enterprise or mission workloads, including logical and physical data design, performance tuning, security, backup/recovery, and operational support.
\n
• Experience managing geospatial intelligence data, including raster and vector formats, and designing database structures, indexing, queries, and services that support scalable spatial analytics.
\n
• Proven ability to design multimodel Oracle Database solutions that integrate relational, spatial, JSON including JSON Relational Duality, and graph data types while preserving data integrity, usability, and performance.
\n
• Hands-on experience enabling AI use cases in Oracle Database using vector data types, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations.
\n
• Experience developing secure, performant SQL, PL/SQL, schemas, packages, views, and data-access patterns that support applications, analytics, APIs, and downstream consumers.
\n
• Ability to assess source systems, map data structures, define migration and conversion strategies, and validate data quality, completeness, reconciliation, and performance after implementation.
\n
• Experience collaborating with application, AI, data-engineering, cloud, and security teams to translate requirements into maintainable database designs and operational runbooks.
\n
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to explain database risks, design decisions, and remediation approaches to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
\n
Desired Skills/Capabilities
\n
• Working knowledge of OCI, including database deployment, networking, identity, storage, monitoring, and security services.
\n
• Experience creating and deploying RESTful APIs and integrating with Oracle API Gateway or comparable API-management capabilities.
\n
• Experience with Oracle AI Database 26ai, Oracle Exadata, and/or OCI Autonomous AI Database Service on Exadata.
\n
• Experience migrating Oracle Databases from on-premises or other cloud environments into OCI using Zero Downtime Migration, Data Pump, GoldenGate, or comparable tooling.
\n
• Experience migrating JSON data from MongoDB or comparable document stores into Oracle Database and validating compatibility, data fidelity, and performance.
