Job DescriptionPosition Overview:As the Manager of Security of Valleyfair, you'll ensure Security and Safety of all guests and employees while protecting the company assets, revenues and reducing liability.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the day-to-day activities in the operation of the security department in accordance with Enchanted Parks guidelines, ensuring the safety and security of Park associates, guests, and property.Maintain an ongoing awareness of corporate initiatives related to Security and coordinate, roll out, and communication of new programs and policies.Manage all aspects of the security department staff to include hiring, training, development, supervising, coaching and scheduling.Manage the action plan for the park CCTV and Loss Prevention program while ensuring compliance with federal state and local laws.Maintain cooperative working relationships with outside law enforcement, fire and EMS department as well as other regulatory agencies.Coordinate all 3rd party security services contracts.Work closely with Safety team to ensure that calls in the park are responded to in a timely manner.Conduct investigations, ensuring the completion of accurate documentation.Make recommendations to departments to alter procedures or practices based on information obtained during investigations.Respond to and resolve complaints pertaining to security issues or incident reports from associates and guests.Coordinate, develop, plan, and participate in park emergency action plans.Participate as an active member of the Park's Operating Manager Program.Develop the security department expense and labor budgets.Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree (4-year college) preferred.Valid driver's license.5-10 years related experience in field relatable to SecurityKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:The Security Manager should possess a strong understanding of security operations, including the implementation of safety protocols and emergency management strategies. Key skills include exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to foster cooperative relationships with park associates, guests, and external law enforcement agencies. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in managing a team, from hiring and training to development and scheduling, ensuring a high level of performance and morale within the department. Additionally, analytical skills are essential for conducting thorough investigations and making data-driven recommendations to improve security practices. Familiarity with compliance regulations and the ability to coordinate 3rd party security services are also necessary.Physical Demands and Working Conditions:The Security Manager will face a dynamic mix of physical demands and working conditions. This role entails both outdoor and administrative responsibilities. You will spend a considerable amount of time patrolling the park to ensure the safety and security of associates and guests, which involves walking long distances, standing for extended periods, and responding quickly to various incidents. Additionally, the position includes administrative tasks such as documentation, planning, and coordination, which will be performed in an office setting.
