We are looking for a reliable and skilled Cable installer familiar with Docsis or experienced Coax Splicer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for splicing and activating our coaxial plant to ensure top network performance. If you know how to power up a system, understand nodes, and can work independently from a print, we want to hear from you.
Daily Tasks
- Read and Follow Prints: Interpret maps and construction prints to effectively execute daily project requirements.
- Splice and Activate: Perform high-quality splicing of coaxial cables and activate the plant according to design.
- Power & Node Setup: Handle system powering and work confidently with node placements, setups, and balances.
- Troubleshoot & Test: Check signal levels and ensure the lines are clean, active, and meeting specifications before moving to the next job.
- Underground Labor: Experience with hand-digging, trenching, and pulling cable through conduit when needed.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience as a Cable Installer or Coax Splicer with knowledge of plant activation.
- Technical Skills: Familiar with powering configurations and nodes.
- Reading: Ability to read, interpret, and work efficiently from system prints.
- Tools & Transport: Must have a valid id/license (Class C minimum) Must have own transportation. (tools and boot vouchers provided)
- Physical Ability: Able to work outdoors, climb ladders, use a bucket truck, and lift heavy equipment when necessary. Ability to do underground construction also, placing cable.
