Job Description

Company Description

Barlytics is building an AI-powered inventory and operations platform for bars, restaurants, and hospitality venues. Our goal is to help operators count inventory faster, see where they are under par, reduce waste, prevent stockouts, and make smarter decisions around ordering, recipes, vendors, and events.

We are an early-stage startup building directly with operators. This is a hands-on environment where customer feedback shapes the product quickly. The team is small, technical, and focused on solving real back-of-house problems that bar managers, GMs, beverage directors, and owners deal with every week.

Role Description

Barlytics is hiring a Founding Customer Implementation Manager to help onboard early restaurant and bar customers and build the playbook for how customers go live successfully.

This is a hands-on founding role. You will work directly with customers to import and clean inventory data, set up item lists, configure storage areas, help define pars, organize vendor information, support count workflows, and make sure customers get to value quickly.

You will also work closely with the founder and engineering team to turn customer feedback into product improvements. If a customer’s inventory sheet is messy, their POS item names do not match their menu, or their vendor list uses different names for the same product, you will help diagnose the issue and turn that learning into a better onboarding process.

This role is ideal for someone who understands restaurant operations, hospitality technology, SaaS implementation, customer onboarding, or bar/restaurant inventory workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Lead onboarding for early Barlytics customers
  • Help customers import, clean, and organize inventory data
  • Configure item lists, categories, storage areas, vendors, and par levels
  • Support customers through their first inventory counts and go-live
  • Train bar managers, GMs, owners, and hospitality teams on how to use Barlytics
  • Troubleshoot customer issues and identify workflow gaps
  • Build implementation checklists, templates, and onboarding playbooks
  • Document repeated customer problems and communicate them to product and engineering
  • Support founder-led sales by helping prospects understand setup, onboarding, and implementation
  • Help define what a successful customer launch looks like
  • Build strong relationships with early customers and help them get measurable value from Barlytics

Qualifications

  • Experience in SaaS implementation, customer success, hospitality operations, restaurant technology, or bar/restaurant management
  • Strong understanding of operational workflows such as inventory, ordering, vendors, POS systems, recipes, invoices, events, or purchasing
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and messy customer data
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple customer implementations at once
  • Excellent communication skills with both operators and technical teams
  • Ability to create clear documentation, training materials, and repeatable processes
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment with ambiguity
  • Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to be hands-on

Nice to Have

  • Experience with restaurant or hospitality platforms such as Toast, MarginEdge, Restaurant365, Craftable, WISK, Tripleseat, Square, Clover, Lightspeed, or SpotOn
  • Experience as a bar manager, restaurant GM, beverage director, operations manager, implementation specialist, or customer success manager
  • Familiarity with inventory counts, par levels, vendor ordering, invoice data, recipe costing, or event operations
  • Experience helping customers migrate from spreadsheets or legacy systems into software

Compensation

$75,000–$110,000 base salary, plus equity.

Final compensation will depend on experience, background, and fit for the role.

Location

DC Metropolitan Area / Hybrid preferred.

We are open to remote candidates with strong restaurant technology, implementation, or hospitality operations experience.
