Superior Communication Services is currently seeking an experienced Low Voltage and Security Systems estimator. The ideal candidate should be a detail-oriented, self-starter with experience preparing estimates for security and commercial voice and data solutions. Experience estimating audio/video (AV) is a plus. We want people looking for a career with a strong company.

Objectives

• Create accurate and competitive estimates and quotations for security systems projects.
• Complete site walkthroughs and participate in pre-bid meetings to determine and document bid requirements and job site conditions
• Prepare estimates that meet project requirements and industry standards
• Develop bill of material, obtain distributor pricing, and calculate labor to produce estimates
• Detail scope of work based on designs and proposal specifications and coordinate with business development team to prepare comprehensive proposal materials
• Provide sales and technical staff with support on both a pre- and post-sales basis including attending project meetings and job sites as needed.

Requirements

• Competencies
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of all phases of security systems including Card Access, cameras, and intrusion systems. Genetec – Verkada – Axis – Avigilon –
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications to produce accurate estimates.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturers and products such as Genetec – Verkada – Axis.
• Experience reading and understanding blueprints and system schematic diagrams.
• Strong understanding of job material and labor forecasting
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam is preferred
• BICSI and RCDD certification is a plus

• Minimum of 3 Years of experience estimating commercial access control systems and camera systems.
