Role Description The Metal Fabricator role at Modulex Group is a full-time, on-site position located in Frederick, MD. Day-to-day responsibilities include cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components for signage and structural elements using hand tools, power tools, and metalworking machinery. The Metal Fabricator will interpret technical drawings and work orders, measure and mark materials accurately, perform grinding and finishing work, and ensure products meet quality and safety standards. The role also involves operating material-handling equipment, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and collaborating with production and installation teams to meet project timelines. Adherence to workplace safety procedures and proactive equipment maintenance are essential parts of the position.

Qualifications

  • Solid metalworking skills, including cutting, forming, and assembling metal components
  • \n

  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in fabrication and finishing
  • \n

  • Experience with grinding and surface finishing for precise and clean metal work
  • \n

  • Ability to safely operate forklifts or other material-handling equipment
  • \n

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
  • \n

  • Strong attention to detail, quality orientation, and adherence to safety standards
  • \n

  • Physical ability to lift, move, and handle materials and stand for extended periods
  • \n

  • Prior experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or a related trade preferred
  • \n

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in fabrication are a plus
  • \n

  • Reliable work ethic, effective communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a production environment
