What You Will Do

\n

\n
• Build applications using modern design patterns, architectural principles, and current industry coding standards

\n

• Develop high-quality, well-documented, and efficient code

\n

• Collaborate with product owners to define feature stories and with tech leads on technical design

\n

• Write unit tests, integration tests, and functional automation

\n

• Research and resolve issues identified by QA or product support

\n

• Coach team members and bring input on relevant and emerging technologies

\n

• Solve complex problems that require evaluating intangible variables

\n

• Work with Python, Java, JavaScript, React, and Spring Boot

\n

\n

\n

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related experience

\n

• 6+ years of hands-on experience building enterprise-grade applications with modern Java and JavaScript ecosystems

\n

• Strong UI expertise building modern applications with React and JavaScript

\n

• Financial or Insurance industry experience

\n

• Experience with agentic frameworks and AI-driven development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, etc.)

\n

• Experience with Agile methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD)

\n

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

\n

\n

\n

Technical Skills (Advanced Experience in Several)

\n

• Languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript; OOP, design patterns, distributed systems

\n

• Java Services: Spring, Maven, Microservices, multi-threading, concurrency, parallel processing

\n

• Frameworks: React, Spring Boot, Flask, Django, Node.js

\n

• Data Stores: PL/SQL, DB2, Oracle, Postgres, Redshift, NoSQL

\n

• Data Streaming: SQS, Kinesis, AWS MSK, EventBridge

\n

• APIs: REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, JDBC, SOA patterns

\n

• API Management: Kong, Apigee

\n

• Security: Secure coding, DevSecOps, JWT, SSL, SAML 2.0, OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0

\n

• DevOps: GitHub, Bitbucket, Subversion, Jenkins

\n

• AWS: Core services across compute, storage, database, IAM, and analytics

\n

• Testing: Unit, interface, end-user, and automated testing

\n

• Accessibility awareness, monitoring, and logging
