Position Summary

Certified Multimedia Solutions LLC is seeking a skilled and motivated Access Control, CCTV, and Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting low-voltage systems including access control, surveillance cameras, structured cabling, and related security systems. This position requires strong technical skills, professionalism, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling including Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, and coaxial cable.
• Install and configure CCTV camera systems, NVRs, DVRs, and video management software.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain access control systems including card readers, electric strikes, maglocks, and door hardware.
• Perform system testing, commissioning, and customer training.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project specifications.
• Troubleshoot system faults and perform service repairs.
• Complete job documentation, service reports, and as-built drawings.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and team members.
• Follow company safety policies and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 2 years of experience in low-voltage, security, access control, or CCTV installation.
• Knowledge of structured cabling standards and installation practices.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and ladders.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and wiring schematics.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Preferred

• Experience with systems such as Verkada, Avigilon, Genetec, Openpath, Brivo, Lenel, Honeywell, Bosch, or similar platforms.
• Fiber optic termination and testing experience.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Lift certification.
• BICSI certification or other industry credentials.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in construction environments.
• Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work overhead for extended periods.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
