Location: Richland, WA

Assignment Type: Contract

Openings: 1 total opening across two possible role levels

Schedule: 4/10 schedule, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day

Assignment Length: Long Term contract with ability to extend multiple years

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Pay Range: $46.75 - $92.75 per hour, depending on level, experience, qualifications, and final client approval

Travel: Business travel may be authorized as needed

Per Diem:For non local candidates, Per diem is $216/day (roughly 79K of untaxed income)

Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required

A nuclear project organization in the Richland, WA area is seeking one Project Scheduler for nuclear and engineering project work. This role is posted at two levels, Project Scheduler I and Project Scheduler II, but only one position will be filled. Candidates should be submitted at the level that best matches their experience, not both levels.

The Project Scheduler will support nuclear project managers by developing, maintaining, and coordinating project schedules for online work, outage-related work, engineering projects, and life-cycle project schedules. This role supports accurate project planning, schedule maintenance, critical path visibility, resource coordination, and timely communication across project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules for nuclear, engineering, outage, and online project activities.
  • Schedule project activities by date, time, sequence, logic, and priority.
  • Support schedule maintenance between Passport and Primavera scheduling tools.
  • Assist project managers with schedule development, updates, tracking, and reporting.
  • Help maintain timely, coherent, comprehensive, and accurate schedules for assigned work.
  • Support project planning related to budget, work packages, parts procurement, ALARA planning, industrial safety, nuclear safety, clearance orders, resource loading, work prioritization, and risk management.
  • Track project progress, schedule delays, constraints, conflicts, float, and critical path items.
  • Interface with project managers, engineers, vendors, client stakeholders, and management.
  • Support written and verbal communication to project teams and senior leadership.
  • Help maintain long-range project planning strategies.
  • Support corrective action, self-assessment, and continuous improvement expectations in a nuclear environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or a related field; or
  • Associate degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or a related technical curriculum plus 2 years of technical field experience; or
  • High school diploma/GED plus 4 years of technical field experience.
  • Project scheduling, project controls, project coordination, planning, or technical project support experience.
  • Ability to work onsite in a regulated nuclear environment.
  • Ability to work a 4/10 schedule.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Ability to meet site access, badging, background, drug testing, fitness-for-duty, and nuclear safety culture expectations.

Strongly Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial nuclear power plant experience.
  • Primavera/P6 scheduling experience.
  • Passport experience.
  • Experience supporting outage, online maintenance, engineering, capital project, or plant modification schedules.
  • Familiarity with work packages, clearance orders, resource loading, ALARA, corrective action programs, and nuclear project controls.
  • Prior experience at commercial nuclear, utility, power generation, or highly regulated industrial site.
