Job Description

Role: Technical Project Manager

\n

Location: San Francisco, CA

\n

Working Options: Hybrid - 2 days onsite a week

\n

Salary: Competitive

\n

\n

Have to be a US Citizen or a green card holder

\n

\n

The 12-Month Mandate: The first month is about learning how the company works - the delivery model, project structures, governance and toolchain. From there, you start coaching the US team on those ways of working while building your own understanding of the customers and the product. The immediate delivery priority is putting the right level of control onto the live US BESS projects. By month six, the focus shifts from embedding controls to turning projects around and improving how the team does project management as a whole, including where AI and automation take the admin out of it.

\n

\n

Success is measured on three things: live projects under proper control and delivering to plan, Elysia's delivery standards genuinely embedded in the US team rather than nominally adopted, and demonstrable improvement to the PM function itself.

\n

\n

What You'll Be Doing:

\n

    \n
  • Own the BESS engineering delivery roadmap, balancing product development, customer commitments, defects and technical debt against capacity across interdependent hardware and software work
  • \n

  • Set up and run projects delivery model - Jira plans, Structure.Gantt views, Confluence spaces, RAID logs, reporting routines, escalation routes and governance cadence
  • \n

  • Keep plans synced to the company portfolio plan, identifying cross-project dependencies, resource constraints and schedule risk early
  • \n

  • Build customer and portfolio reporting using Jira, Confluence, Power BI and automation, cutting admin overhead rather than adding to it
  • \n

  • Embed into the ways of working into the US team, identifying the gaps in project setup, reporting, Jira hygiene and data quality, then fixing them with project owners and technical leads
  • \n

\n

\n

Key Requirements:

\n

    \n
  • Industry backgrounds: Energy Storage, Electrical Grid, Renewables, BESS
  • \n

  • Technical background: SW & HW
  • \n

  • Tools: JIRA, Confluence, Atlassian is preferred, but not limited
  • \n

\n

\n

Why?:

\n

    \n
  • Front-row seat to one of the fastest-growing deployment markets in the energy industry
  • \n

  • Unique dual-product approach: on-site real-time platform combined with cloud-based modelling and analytics
  • \n

  • Start-up pace with Fortescue backing, enterprise stability without the bureaucracy
  • \n

  • Multiple growth vectors: technology expertise, process leadership, or product influence
  • \n

  • Direct, visible impact as BESS becomes the backbone of the global energy transition
  • \n
