Aleknagik Technology LLC is seeking experienced Telecommunications Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to provide technical support for secure and non-secure telecommunications, IT networks, and mission-critical communications systems for a federal government customer.The position requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, expert-level telecommunications and networking knowledge, and an active Secret or Top-Secret security clearance. Occasional travel may be required.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport secure and non-secure telephone, facsimile, and telecommunications systems, including operations and maintenance.Support government data networks, including OpenNet, ClassNet, Internet, SIPRNet, HSDN, JWICS, and DCIN.Support wired, optical, and wireless IT networks and LANs.Support Secure Video Teleconferencing Systems (SVTS) at multiple classification levels.Install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot audiovisual systems, CATV, public address, digital signage, video surveillance, and associated cabling.Support secure and non-secure HF ALE, UHF/VHF, UHF SATCOM, and DAMA radio systems.Support secure satellite and cellular telephone systems.Support Government Emergency Telecommunications Service (GETS), Wireless Priority Service (WPS), and Telecommunications Service Priority (TSP).Provide COMSEC equipment support for applicable telecommunications systems.Provide facility security, emergency operations, and service desk support.Troubleshoot telecommunications and network issues and coordinate corrective actions.Coordinate with government personnel, technical teams, and security professionals to support mission requirements.Required QualificationsMinimum of 10 years of relevant telecommunications, IT networking, or communications systems experience.Expert knowledge of telecommunications and IT networking technologies.Experience supporting secure and non-secure communications systems and networks.Experience with wired, optical, wireless, radio, satellite, and/or secure communications technologies.Experience supporting classified government networks and systems.Knowledge of COMSEC equipment and communications security requirements.Strong technical troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to occasionally travel to remote locations throughout the United States.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, or equivalent.Previous Department of State, DoD, DHS, or other federal government experience.Experience with OpenNet, ClassNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, HSDN, or DCIN.Experience with SVTS, HF ALE, UHF/VHF, SATCOM, DAMA, GETS, WPS, TSP, or COMSEC equipment.Security and Access RequirementsActive Secret or Top Secret U.S. Government security clearance required, based on assigned duties.Must be eligible to obtain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access when requiredWork EnvironmentThis position supports federal telecommunications operations involving secure and non-secure systems. Work may require access to Department of State facilities and classified environments. This position is On-Site. Occasional travel to remote locations throughout the United States may be required.
