Job Description
Our organization is searching for an experienced Facilities Manager to join the team! The Facilities Manager performs a variety of building maintenance work including some minor electrical, mechanical, welding, fabrication, plumbing, modification, and repair activities in offices, warehouse and production facilities, and grounds to ensure all locations are maintained in a safe and effective working condition as well as overseeing the maintenance technicians.

Qualifications
\n
- \n
- 3+ years’ experience working within a manufacturing and distribution environment.
- 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
- Follow organizational safety practices including following appropriate procedures, as well as the proper wearing of required PPE in designated areas.
- Basic math skills and can complete basic measurements in feet and meters.
- General knowledge of mechanical devices and can problem solve and repair basic mechanical issues.
- Operate material handling equipment.
- Mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems
- Proficiency with repair tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors, and team members.
- Great time management, organization, and prioritization abilities.
- Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills.
- Able to utilize a computer w/ MS Window Systems and web-based applications

Responsibilities
\n

- Delegating cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members.
- Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor spaces.
- Performing, supervising, or contracting routine maintenance on production equipment and facilities, making repairs as needed.
- Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with 3rd party vendors.
- Leading safety team and facility wide safety program to ensure a safe workplace and compliance with internal, external and customer specific commitments.
- Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals.
- Ensure adherence to company safety policies and OSHA standards.
- Address unsafe behaviors or conditions promptly.
- Maintaining and supervising day-to-day operations of equipment and facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders.
- Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff.
- Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions.
- Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facility’s needs.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift heavy equipment and comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time.
- May frequently require bending, climbing, crawling, pulling, reaching, stopping, and climbing ladders and step stools.
- Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds and may require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects up to 50 pounds with assistance as needed.
- Exposure to cleaning supplies, paint, and company authorized chemicals – all with appropriate PPE
- Ability to work in poor weather conditions as needed including heat, cold, rain and snow.
