Work Site Description:

Train on days and move to 2nd or 3rd shift (mostly like 3rd but possibly 2nd). Will train on 1st shift for about 2 or 3 months and it will be 5 days/8 hours

1st shift – 7:30AM – 4PM or 7:30PM – 6PM if it’s 4 10’s

2nd shift: 3:30PM – 12

3rd shift: 11:30PM – 8AM

Potential 4/10 hour days, however, on 2nd and 3rd shift they will be working 5 days/8 hours. There may be opportunity for 4/10 in the future

Onsite – 5 days a week

Team size – 20 people covering all shifts

  • Basic understanding of vehicle communication tools

Job Details:

  • Review Communications
  • Complete Test Request Process
  • Prep Vehicle for Test
  • Install Vehicle on Test Site
  • Monitor Test
  • Remove Vehicle from Test Site
  • Conduct safety observation tour per schedule & Investigate Team safety incidents & implement corrective actions with TL & GL
  • Conduct WPO assignments per schedule
  • Engage in Employee Safety Concern Process (ESCP)
  • Participate in all BPD activities
  • Participate in Problem Solving for CI
  • Communicate and escalate issues / information effectively and timely
  • Train Team Members utilizing JIT Process - update flexibility chart
  • Attend and Participate in Shift Overlap Meetings
  • Maintain standardized work documents - ensure up to date
  • Complete Quality Audits and Resolve Quality Issues
  • Understanding and Complying with Environmental Aspects
  • Participate in Throughput Improvement Process (TIP)
  • Complete Timecard
  • Maintain test sites clear of hazards (snow, ice, oil, fuel, etc)

Requirements:

  • Degree requirements – 2-year technical degree
  • Years of experience – at least 3 years’ experience preferred
  • Working with test equipment and communicating with the vehicle
  • Understanding of vehicle components and repair – helpful but not required
  • Technical background – helpful but not required
  • Understanding of Chassis dyno, experience with INCA (communication tool) is helpful but not required
  • Troubleshooting skills, working with a Test Automation System (Test site control system), Desire to learn new skills
  • Ability to work with a team and other teammates, Punctual, someone who likes to work with their hands and their minds, a person that like to work with smaller testing equipment/tools (driving robots, communication tools, etc.)
